The words 'books' and 'reading' usually elicit two kinds of reactions. The bookoholics practically jump on you and ask what you are reading at the moment. The rest of the world looks scared and runs to hide behind the nearest large object.

That's because books bring back either wonderful or tortured memories. And books are at a very precarious time in their evolution, having never before been so threatened by other media. Still, thousands of books reach people's shelves each day. A book still is a great way to communicate an idea. The book is dead? No way! It is just evolving.
